Ingredients
  • Feta cheese  /  2 rectangle shaped feta cheese pieces
  • Phyllo  /  1 sheet
  • Egg  /  1 egg white lightly beaten
  • Black sesame seeds  /  1/4 tsp black sesame seeds
  • TREA Greek Forest Honey  /  4 tsp
  • TREA Extra Virgin Olive Oil – Koroneiki & Athinoelia  /  100ml

Lay the phyllo sheet and place into it the piece of feta cheese in a distance of 2 cm from the corners and cut it 2 cm from the side in order to be able to wrap it. Then, brush the phyllo sheet with a few egg white, so that it sticks and secure the feta inside.

Afterward, wrap the feta cheese and cut the rest phyllo with a knife. That way, you create a “pack” the corners of which are folded inwards. Roll each “pack” into a kitchen paper and place in the freezer for 1,5 hour. Repeat with the 2nd feta cheese piece.

Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add TREA Extra Virgin Olive Oil – Koroneiki & Athinoelia. Once the pan is hot, add each phyllo wrapped feta slice to the pan and fry for approximately 3 minutes on each side until golden brown on both sides. Place on paper towel to absorb excess oil and then place on serving plate.

Finally, drizzle the saganaki feta cheese with the TREA Greek Forest Honey and sprinkle with the black sesame seeds.
