Shrimp Saganaki

Ingredients
  • Medium Shrimps  /  15
  • Ripe Tomatoes  /  4 finely chopped
  • Garlic cloves  /  2 minced
  • Hot Chili Pepper  /  1 chopped
  • Ouzo  /  60 ml
  • Navarino Icons Tomato Sauce with Feta Cheese  /  250 g
  • Feta cheese  /  250 g
  • Fresh parsley  /  2 tbsp chopped
  • Navarino Icons Extra Virgin Olive Oil  /  2 tbsp & drizzle
  • Salt & Pepper  /  for seasoning

Method
Prep the Shrimp Peel and clean the shrimp. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

Make the Sauce
• Dice tomatoes and let them strain in a colander to remove excess water.
• In a pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
• Sauté the chili and the garlic at low heat.
• Pour in the ouzo and cook for another minute.
• Add tomatoes, season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Add Navarino Icons Tomato Sauce with Feta Cheese. Cover and simmer for 5–7 minutes until thickened.

Cook the Shrimp
In a separate pan, heat olive oil and sauté shrimp for 1 minute.

Combine & Finish
• Pour the tomato sauce over the shrimp.
• Add feta cheese on top, cover, and cook for 2 more minutes until the feta softens.
• Garnish with parsley and drizzle with Navarino Icons extra virgin olive oil.
